Getting There

VISA Info

APFSSH participants are responsible in obtaining their Philippine visa, if ever they need one. Nationals from countries listed HERE who are traveling to the Philippines for business and tourism purposes are allowed to enter the Philippines without visas for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they complete the necessary requirements.

As a rule, application for a temporary visitor’s visa must be made in person. Applicants for temporary visitor’s visa should normally apply at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate that has jurisdiction over their place of residence. While some visa applicants may apply at any Philippine Embassy or Consulate abroad, others are only allowed to apply his/her visa at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in his country of origin or legal residence.

Transportation in Cebu

There are many different modes of transportation in getting around Cebu City. Fortunately, the conference venue, Radisson Blu Hotel, is located right at the heart of the city’s commercial districts where everything is within your reach.

The My Bus accommodates passengers from the Mactan International Airport and South Road Properties (SRP) to SM City Cebu and the new SM Seaside City Cebu. Tourists can ride the My Bus from the airport to SM City Cebu which is located right beside Radisson Blu Hotel, the conference venue for the APFSSH 2017. Passengers may buy their E-plus cards at the SM Malls or My Bus stations for Php200 with initial load of Php100.

For more info, visit My Bus on Facebook.

Taxis are also easily one of the fastest and best ways to getting around. Cebu’s white taxi flagdown rate is Php 30.00 with airport yellow taxis flagdown rate start at Php 60.00. You may also opt to make use of popular car service apps: Uber and GrabTaxi.

Download Uber and GrabTaxi now.

If you want to ride like a local, jeepney rides are enjoyable and a great way to experience the culture of the city. However like in most cities, be vigilant at all times and keep an eye on your belongings. They have a set route, and this is displayed in the front window and along the side. Passengers only pay Php 8.00 to travel up to 5km within the city, and a peso for every kilometer traveled. When in doubt, locals are always helpful enough to point you to the right jeepney that goes to your destination.
