Prof. Kazuteu Doi is the current General President of Ogori Daiichi General Hospital in Yamaguchi, Japan. He obtained his degree at Yamaguchi University School of Medicine in 1972 and has gained several professional experiences from being a Lecturer and eventually an Assistant Professor to Clinical Professor in the same institution; and a Researcher overseas by the Ministry of Education in the Department of Surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Prof. Doi is a qualified orthopaedic doctor, hand surgeon, and rehabilitation doctor by the Japanese Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also a certified rheumatologist by the Japanese Orthopaedic Association, and an Instructor for Advanced Clinical Training authorized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
He’s a former president and an executive committee member of the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, and a former executive council member of the Japanese Society for the Surgery of the Hand and the Japanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery. Prof. Doi was also the president of the 17th Japanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery in 1990, and the 48th Japanese Society for the Surgery of the Hand in 2005. In 2009, he was also appointed as the congress chairman of the 5th World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery.
