Dr. John Capo was born in New York, a graduate of BS Engineer in Reasselaer Polytechnic Institute Troy in 1986 and then later received his medical degree in Rutgers-Roberts Wood Johnson Medical School in the year 1992.

In 1993, he started gathering licensures and certificates –– this includes the Diplomat of the National Board of Orthopedic Surgery, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Maintenance of Recertification and many more.

At present, he is the Vice Chairman of Orthopaedic and a chief hand in surgery of Jersey City Medical Center, an active staff of NYU affiliated hospitals and Holy Name Medical Center of Orthopedics Marketing Committee way back 2003-2007. Now, he is the elected member of American Association for Hand Surgery, and American Orthopedic Association.

He is the Chief editor of the textbook Atlas of Minimally Invasive Hand and Wrist Surgery, and became the editorial Board of Bulletin of the Hospital for joint Disease since 2015.

He was awarded as an Outstanding Podium Presentation last year and placed second in New York Society for Surgery of the Hand Residents and Fellow Meeting this year. In 2013, he was selected as one of the Doctors of Excellence by the Board of leaders in Healthcare Networks New York.
