Associate Professor Aymeric Lim is currently Vice-Dean in the Dean’s Office of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He oversees the development of leadership, professionalism, ethics, values and international outreach. He is also the Dean of the Healthcare Leadership College, MOH Holdings, which supports building leadership capacity and capabilities for our national public healthcare system, in line with the Ministry of Health’s vision and strategic priorities.
A/Prof Lim served as the Chairman, Medical Board (CMB) of the National University Hospital from 2008-2016. A/Prof Lim was the Commanding Officer of 2 Combat Support Hospital (May 2009- November 2015). He was a member of the SAF Safety Committee. He has been on numerous humanitarian overseas missions.
A trained hand and micro surgeon, A/Prof Lim’s expertise includes flaps, peripheral nerve reconstruction and tendon transfers. His research on the intra-muscular innervation of the muscles of the forearm led to new clinical work in the field of tendon transfers, techniques useful for patients with severe forearm crush or nerve injuries. A/Prof Lim has published widely in local and international journals.
